Domasso and Florence

After another bit of traveling, through Italian Switzerland, we ended up on the shores of Lake Como in the little town of Domaso in Italy!! The campsite was great, and we even had a swimming pool to sit around too!!! After a relaxing few days, we ended up in Florence after a brief stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa and got all cultured up, wandering around churches and we even saw Michaelangelo's David in the flesh!!

Zermatt and the Matterhorn!!

After a slight detour to Interlakken, and a long long long, but very picturesque day on the trains later, we ended up in the mountain town of Zermatt, at the base of the Matterhorn to a tasty bit of Fondue and Raclette!! Its an

amazing place! We got the train up the mountain opposite called Gornergrat for a better view and its spectacular!!! Lots of geography type stuff!! The hostel/hotel we stayed in was awesome too!!

Brunnen and Sisikon

We visited the small towns of Brunnen and Sisikon as Liz's great Aunt has a little house on the hill there above the town of Sisikon. We stopped at Brunnen station and Hans Peter picked us up and took us to there. Its a stunning place next to Lake Uri with lots of little houses dotted about on the hill. Going for a walk around the lake was William Tell's Chapel, where he apparently escped from some baddies!!

After a brief break as we couldn't find an Internet cafe to plug the camera in, we've found one, just outside Rome!!! So here are some of the things you've missed out on in our Internet absence!!

Its Damp in Zurich

We got to Zurich yesterday morning and met up with Dorli (Liz's great aunt) and Elisabeth (her daughter). Dorli has been very kind and is putting us up while we're in Zurich! After a tasty lunch, Elisabeth took us out into the city centre to show us some sights. The Big church is the Grössmünster which we climbed up and got a birdseye view of the city! The stained glass window is from the Fraumünster and was done by the artist Marc Chagal!! It was very pretty so I took loads of photos!! The weather is still pretty bad, but we've come back into the city to see the Kunsthaus which is a big art gallery!!

We're in Switzerland!

Hello there everyone, we're in Switzerland!! We got here no problem, but the weather is a bit rubbish and has been raining ever since we got off the train!! We're still having a potter around various churches and art gallery's etc. Liz's relatives are very nice and have been great, welcoming us into their home!! Will try to post some pictures in a bit! Fingers crossed it'll work!!
